OMG! I was downloading today's mini patch, and besides cool changes to rogues and warlocks (two of my four seriously played toons), there was a note that NOW (not in the Nov expansion) YOU CAN PLAY BGs ACROSS REALMS! Can realm rankings be far behind?

With the release of patch 1.12, you will be able to face off against players from other realms in the battlegrounds. The new cross-realm PvP battlegrounds will combine players from several realms into huge matchmaking pools for each of the game's three battlegrounds. You can now check out the full battlegroups list to find out which battlegroup you're in and which realms you'll be competing against.
